Hello, I'm Tonya!

I'm a professional career woman, mother, wife, blogger, model, brand ambassador, and children's book author of the Cluenies and Their Quest to Find the Sun.

My admiration of fashion began at a very early age. I remember taking my mom's old clothes, converting them into my own designs, and modeling in pretend fashion shows with my neighborhood friends as other models. Dubbed a "shy" kid,  fashion was my creative form of expression. I dreamed of becoming a model, while focusing heavily on academic achievement.

​

Near the end of my undergraduate college years, I began pursuing modeling, late by industry standards, and attended fashion show model calls. I still remember the excitement I felt when getting a call that I had been booked for a show. From there, I participated in photo shoots, appeared on a novel cover, in hair and beauty magazines and trade shows, in local retail commercials, and walked in a number of fashion shows for several fashion show productions featuring emerging and established designers. 

 

By early 2000s, I created a professional model management agency, Deja Models, in Metropolitan, Washington, DC with a best friend and business partner. Additionally, as a mother on the go coupled with being a communications and marketing professional, I launched my first blog in 2008, Sprinting in Stilletos, featuring fashion and style musings for women.

In 2011, I began creative development on Fashioninity™. I worked on Fashioninity™ in my spare time and subsequently launched the brand on social media. I have also served as an actress, voiceover artist, film makeup artist, and co-producer on film projects with Farragut Films.

​

In 2019 I launched Fashioninity Boutique, an online store featuring curated accessories and my personally crafted shea butter. 

​

As I manage life and multiple entrepreneurial interests, my vision is to elevate Fashioninity™ as the fashion, beauty and style platform for lifestyle inspiration, paving the way to ensure that you look and feel your best.
